According to the family, government records contained aliases that they assert have never been used by any member of the family. They claim these aliases were entered into government databases and were subsequently relied upon in the creation of debts and adverse records attributed to them.

The family claims that false information was inserted into government databases by DFAT employee Elise James, resulting in debts and adverse records being raised against identities they say were fabricated. They further claim that a false narrative was created and relied upon in administrative processes. According to the family, Elise James is scheduled to return to work on 1 July 2026.

They maintain that they have repeatedly disputed the records and are seeking answers as to how the aliases were created, entered into official systems, and subsequently used in administrative and debt-related processes.
